Screen Sharing issues for Mac users
Posted by Ryan Young on 16 May 2012 11:21 AM

UPDATE: 05/21/12: We have done further testing into how Apple is handling Java in OSX 10.5 and have altered these instructions. Hopefully, this revised guide may resolve the issue on your system.

Some of AnyMeeting's Mac OSX users have unfortunately been experiencing some issues when attempting to Screen Share. Our Screen Sharing feature requires the rather common Java software to function properly, a software that the majority of internet users will already have installed on their system as it is used by a very wide variety of internet applications. However, Mac OSX has recently changed how it handles Java due to a security compromise. For more information please check out the news article HERE.

For clarification, this effects only the person attempting to screen share and not anyone who is just viewing it.

If you find yourself having difficulty in getting the screen sharing to run on your Mac OSX system, please check out the links below for possible fixes.
