Top 5 Frequently Asked Questions

Hi everyone, here are the top issues we're currently seeing. If you're experiencing one of these, please read these articles in order to save yourself the need to send an email to our support team: 1. Recording is still processing - Sometimes, depending on our system load, it may take over 12 hours to process your recording. If you're still having this problem after 24 hours, please email us. 2. Screen Sharing - I see a black screen (for Presenter) - If you started screen sharing, and the screen displays "Screen Sharing has started", then that means you ARE screen sharing, and everyone can see your screen. It is normal to see a black screen on your AnyMeeting brwoser as it is now broadcasting your screen. 3. Screen Sharing - Mac Java problem - Make sure that you have the latest version of Java installed, and that you're using Firefox or Safari web browser. You may also have to re-enable Java on your Mac. 4. Screen Sharing Download - Virus Warning - This is a very recent development where Norton Antivirus identifies our Windows Screen Sharing plugin as a virus. This is a false positive. We have communicated and resolved this with Symantec, and future updates of their virus definitions will not report any virus in our plugin. 5. Screen Sharing stops frequently - This recent issue is related to a user's internet connection. Try closing all other programs that you're not using in order to free up your internet connection. We're also working on a fix to improve this performance. If you have other questions, please feel free to search our knoweldge base, or contact Customer Service. Thanks! Read more »

Screen Sharing Widget being phased out
Posted by Ryan Young on 12 February 2013 02:26 PM

|
Due to future improvements in AnyMeeting, the screen sharing widget (The small pop out window that appeared after you begin screen sharing) is being phased out of our software. All new accounts created as of 12pm PST today will not have the widget functionality. Current users will retain it for a short period before it is phased out on these accounts as well. Our support materials will change to address this at that time. Though the removal of this functionality paves the way for exciting new improvements, we do regret any inconvenience the loss of this feature may cause. We assure you that we are looking into other implementations of similar features in the future. NEW USERS: There are a few other differences new accounts may see as well. We advise all new account holders running Windows based systems to click HERE for more information. Read more »

Unfortunately, this affects every Mac user out there who wants to screen share using the AnyMeeting software. However, there is an easy fix. All you need to do is go to Java’s website and download the latest version of Java 7 Update 13.
